XAT 2015 Analysis
The XAT is one of the most keenly awaited MBA admission tests and ranks only next to the CAT in terms of relative popularity. The XAT opens the gates to several prestigious MBA institutes in India, including the XLRI, XIMB, XISS, XIME and LIBA.
The just-concluded XAT 2015 question paper featured quantitative ability, verbal skills, data interpretation, decision making and general awareness. Your performance in General Awareness will not go towards determining the cut-off scores, but will be given due weightage by XLRI during the final admission process. Other institutes have the discretion to use the score in this part during the final selection process.
The
just-concluded XAT consisted of two parts: Part I and Part II. Part 1 was an
MCQ type test and contained questions on Verbal Ability, Decision Making,

including General Awareness and Essay in Paper-2 in 2013. This year, the
weight age for different questions was the same, unlike in the earlier
XATs.
Part
I had three sections comprising questions on Verbal Ability, Decision Making

The total time allowed for completing the entire test was 150 minutes. One was
expected to answer the first three sections in 140 minutes and General
