All About CAT 2021 Exam and Analysis

CAT (COMMON ADMISSION TEST) is a computer-based test to take admissions in top B-schools in India. CAT exam is one of the most competitive exams in India. Each year around more than 2 Lakh graduates appear in this exam. To be eligible for this exam, you should be a graduate or final year student of a recognized institute/university.

After doing MBA from IIMs or other reputed B-Schools, you get placed at a high pay package and a rewarding career.

CAT 2021 exam will be conducted pan India on Sunday, 28 November, 2021 in three sessions (forenoon, afternoon, and evening). CAT 2021 is of total 120 minutes. It consists of 3 sections. The first section belongs to Verbal Ability and RC, the second one comprises of DI and LR, and the third consists of Quantitative Aptitude. The test pattern of CAT 2021 remains the same as of last year. The total number of questions will be 76 (expected), including MCQs and non-MCQs. There is a time limit of 40 minutes for each section. For MCQs, (-1) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer, and (+3) marks are awarded for every correct answer. You cannot shift between the sections. Online Calculator will be a part of the exam.

The result of the CAT 2021 exam is expected in the 2nd week of January 2022.

Before the exam, you must take the official CAT mock test given by IIMs. You can download the admit cards on the website iimcat.ac.in. You need to sign here to download the admit card. The exam cannot be given without the admit card. In the admit card, all the important information like your name, category, registration, address of the examination center, and the time slot will be mentioned.

Some important points for the candidates on behalf of mock test and admit card by IIM authorities:

1) The exam is computer-based and you need to be available on time on the exam day.

 2) Give a mock test according to your time slot (forenoon, afternoon, and evening).
