MAT Exam Pattern

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national level Management Entrance Examination conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to Management Programs of about 600 B-schools in India. Some international B-schools also consider the MAT score as an admission input criteria. The test is organized 4 times a year in February, May, September and December.

MAT provides the candidates an option for a paper-based or a computer-based test. MAT’14 paper based test is on 7th September 2014 while computer-based test will stretch over dates starting from 13th September 2014 depending upon the number of participating students.

The test is divided into 5 sections accordingly as: 
1. Language Comprehension
2. Mathematical Skills
3. Data Analysis & Sufficiency
4. Intelligence & Critical Reasoning
5. Indian & Global Environment

The total time duration of the test is 150 minutes which includes a total of 200 questions with 40 questions in each of the above mentioned sections.

Graduates from any discipline and students currently in final year of their graduate courses are eligible to appear in the test. Students are advised to check out the list of B-schools that take in MAT scores as their admission criteria.
