Xavier Aptitude Test(XAT) Pattern

Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is a national level test organized by XLRI, a B-school is Jamshedpur for admission into management programs of its own and XAT Associate Member Institutes (XAMI). XAT 2015 will be conducted on January 4th 2015 across 47 cities in India along with 2 international cities namely Dubai and Kathmandu.

The registration for XAT 2015 starts on 16th August and would continue up to 22nd November 2014. Students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for XAT.

The XAT 2015 exam pattern is a 3 hours pen-paper based test which is structured into 4 broad sections:

1. Quantitative Ability
2. English Language & Logical Reasoning
3. Decision Making
4. GK and Essay

The first 3 sections are included in Part 1 of the paper and Part 2 is General Knowledge. Students would be provided with 140 minutes for Part 1 and 10 minutes for Part 2. The marks of the General Knowledge and Essay section will not be used for short-listing process and will be used by the institutes only at the time of final selection.

The XAT test is usually the most difficult of all Management Entrance Examinations and students are advised to have proper time management while attempting the exam.
