Sapient-Details Test Pattern


Sapient is one of the well-recognized players in the IT services industry. Sapient is a regular recruiter on technical campuses in India and is one of the most preferred employers due to its work culture, which values and promotes innovation, lateral thinking and out-of-the-box solutions to complex business problems.


Sapient has a 3-phase selection process for new technical recruits. The three phases are:
    .  Written Exam        Technical Interview    HR Interview
  
Only those candidates who have scored a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 65 % marks throughout Class X, XII and B.Tech (in Computers/Electronics/IT) examinations are eligible for the Sapient selection process. An academic gap of maximum one year is allowed.           

Sapient Test Pattern

The Sapient test has a total of 100 questions, with 25 questions each in Verbal, Aptitude , Technical and Logical parts. The 120-minute exam fixes separate time limits for different test areas. The pattern of negative marking varies i.e. in the aptitude part, 0.25 mark is deducted for every unanswered question while in the technical part, a negative marking @ 0.25 is levied for every wrong /unanswered question.
In the Verbal part, you will find reading comprehension passages, fill in the blanks, vocabulary, paragraph completion, sentence completion etc.

In the Sapient selection process, the Quantitative part contains topics like algebra, time work, speed distance time, arithmetic, percentages, profit loss, geometry, etc. This part carries moderate difficulty.
The Sapient Technical part features questions on C outputs, Pointers, C++, Sorting related to time complexity and stable sorting.

Finally, in the Logical Reasoning part of the Sapient selection process, one can find puzzles, graphs, charts, tables, line arrangements, statement-assumption, etc.

The overall Sapient selection process test paper is moderate to difficult.
