A Brief Introduction About Mphasis Its Placement Procedure And Test Pattern


Mphasis is a Bangalore based IT services company, of which a majority is owned by Hewlett-Packard. It serves the financial services, telecom, logistics, and technology sectors. Mphasis is ranked 7 in India IT companies and has 40,000 employees. Mphasis was formed in 2000 after the merger of the US-based IT consulting company Mphasis Corporation and the Indian IT company BFL Software Limited in 1998 in Santa Monica, California by Jerry Rao and Jeroen Tas. Mphasis earned $1 billion in revenues and is the sixth Indian IT company to do so.

Mphasis Selection Process

Mphasis has a structured process to select fresh recruits, which comprises

1. AM-CAT            2. Technical Interview           3. HR Interview

Only those candidates who have scored at least 70 % in B.Tech (EEE/ECE) without any backlogs in Xth, XIIth and Graduation exams are eligible for the Mphasis selection process.  Repeaters are not allowed to sit in the selection process.

Mphasis Test Pattern

In the Mphasis selection process, the segment on Verbal Ability  contains two passages on comprehension, followed by 5 questions each. The passages are easy and the questions are simple and direct.

In the Logical Reasoning part, there are questions on sitting arrangements, Blood Relations, Puzzles
etc.

In the Numerical Ability part of the Mphasis test, we find mathematics questions on algebra, time and work, speed-distance-time, arithmetic, percentages, probability, permutation & combination, profit and loss, HCF, LCM and geometry, etc.

The Technical Aptitude part of the Mphasis test pattern contains on C++, Java, DBMS and O.S. etc.

The difficulty level of the test is easy to moderate and those who pass the test are invited for interviews.
