Infosys
is an Indian multinational corporation in business consulting, information
technology, software engineering and outsourcing services. Headquartered in
Bangalore, it is the third-largest India-based IT company by revenues. Infosys
was founded in 1981 by N. R. Narayana Murthy, Nandan Nilekani, N. S. Raghavan,
S. Gopalakrishnan, S. D. Shibulal, K. Dinesh and Ashok Arora after resigning
from Patni Computer Systems. Today, Infosys has a global presence with 72 offices
and 94 development centers across the globe.
One
of its well-known products is Finacle, a universal banking solution. As the
world's largest corporate university, the 340-acre Infosys global education
centre in Mysore can train thousands of fresh recruits annually. It has been voted India's most admired
company every year since 2000.
The
company’s annual recruitment exercise for fresh talent consists of 2 rounds:
A. Written Exam
B. HR Interview
The
candidate must have scored a minimum of 60 % marks in both class X and XII and
65 % or more in B.Tech. The Infosys placement papers contain Verbal Ability (40
qst) and Aptitude (30 qst), thereby giving a total of 70 questions. The total
time allowed is 75 minutes. The paper does not levy any negative marking.
The
total time allotted to the Infosys written test is 1 hr 15 min with individual
time limits for different sections. No negative marking is applied here.
The
Verbal Ability part in the Infosys test contains short reading comprehension
passages, fill in the blanks, vocabulary, paragraph completion, errors,
sentence correction, etc. The time allowed here is 35 minutes. The 40-minute
Aptitude and Reasoning section has questions on data sufficiency, visual
reasoning, data interpretation, syllogism, blood relations, statement
reasoning, etc. Most questions here are easy to moderate.
