About Adobe Placement & selection Process


Adobe is an American multinational software company headquartered in San Jose, California. The company is most well known for its Portable Document Format (PDF) and Adobe Creative Suite, later called Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe was founded in 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke, who quit Xerox to develop the PostScript page description language. In 1985, Apple Computer licensed PostScript for use in its LaserWriter printers, which fuelled the desktop publishing revolution.
Adobe’s revenue has grown to roughly $4 billion.


Adobe Selection Process

Adobe recruits new talent annually through a selection procedure of 4 rounds:

A. Written Exam            B. Group Discussion     C. Technical Interview    D. HR Interview


Adobe Placement Paper

The Adobe Placement Paper contains Analytical Ability (15), Quantitative Ability (30), Technical (Descriptive, 20), giving a total of 65 questions. The test is permitted 120 minutes and there is no negative marking applicable here. The paper is moderate but there are section-wise cut-offs applicable. The candidates who pass in the Adobe placement paper qualify for the next round.



In the Adobe Test, the Analytical Ability segment contains puzzles, coding, blood relations, tables, etc. The Aptitude questions part in the Adobe written test has questions on algebra, time work, speed distance time, arithmetic, percentages, profit loss, geometry, logarithms etc.
In the Adobe written test, there is a Technical part with questions on C language, Data Structures and Bit Manipulation. This part is a little tough and requires good preparation and sound conceptual clarity.

Generally speaking, the Adobe test paper is moderate but the sectional cut-offs make it slightly more complicated. One needs to have a balanced score in all areas to become eligible for the next round.
