Cisco is an American
multinational corporation with its headquarters in San Jose, California. Cisco
manufactures and sells networking equipment. Cisco was founded in December 1984
by Leonard Bosack, Sandy Lerner and Richard Troiano.
Cisco was one of the first
companies to sell commercially successful routers which support multiple
network protocols. In 2000, at the peak of the dot-com bubble, Cisco became the
most valuable company globally, with a market capitalization of $ 500 billion.
India is one its largest overseas markets and production centers.
Cisco conducts a properly
structured annual recruitment process for new recruits. The selection process
consists of 2 rounds i.e. Written Exam and Technical- cum- HR Interview. The
process is open to all those with minimum 65 % marks in all degree
examinations, without any backlog.
The Cisco written test has 50
questions on General Aptitude, to be solved in 50 minutes. The CISCO test does
not have any further divisions. It features questions on Probability, Ages,
Average, Heights and Distances, Pipes, Cisterns, Speed, Coding - Decoding and
Work- Time. The difficulty level of the Cisco test is not high. But you should
not treat it lightly as only those who qualify the Cisco written test with good
marks are allowed to appear in the next round of Technical cum HR interviews.
