About Samsung

Samsung is a multinational company headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul. Around 80 companies form a part of Samsung with activities in areas like shipbuilding,financial services and consumer electronics.
Samsung was started as a trading company by Lee Byung-chul in 1938. During World War II, he had to shift his office from Seoul to the outskirts where he built the largest granary in the country and his business flourished.

In the late 1960s, Samsung entered the electronics industry. The first product it made was a black and white television set. President Park Chung Hee placed great importance on the industrialization of South Korea and focused on the few domestic conglomerates and protected them from foreign competition and gave them financial assistance.
Samsung became the largest mobile phone maker in 2012, overtaking Nokia which had held this position since 1998.

Selection Process:

The company conducts recruitment process every year to select new candidates. The selection process of the company consists of 3 rounds. These rounds are as follows:
Written Exam
Technical Interview
HR Interview

Written Test:

Aptitude and Reasoning section consists of questions from topics like algebra, probability, speed, time & distance, missing number etc.
Technical section consists of questions from topics like C, Java etc.

Technical Interview: 

Questions from microprocessors, Database Management System, Data Structures, Networks, C, Java.

HR Interview:
The HR Interview would include questions about the company, past experience ,hobbies ,interests and projects. Hard copies of mark sheets and certifications are required to be produced for verification in this round.
